Hey, just you let you guys know, the bottom of the Static Line Progression information (http://headcornparachuteclub.co.uk/static-line-parachuting.html) appears to be cut off, it is quite bad with Mozilla Firefox and not so bad with Internet Explorer..

I just thought you guys should know.

Thanks,

Tom

Progression cut off

Post by Tom Lawson on Wed Mar 05, 2008 10:04 pm

Hey Simon, no problem, glad to help!

Also, for people on the Static Line progression, do they normally qualify in the minimum number of jumps?

Best Regards,

Tom

Static Line progression

Post by Squaddie on Thu Mar 06, 2008 11:21 am

Hi again

People do qualify in the minimum amount but I would say its probably about 30%. Most people have to repeat 1 or 2 jumps. Upto 25 would be normal.

Camera Helmet

Post by Big Tony on Mon Mar 10, 2008 7:21 pm

Hi Tom,
Sorry, but the answer's no!
You need a C-licence to jump with a camera, and you'll need 200 jumps to get your C-licence.
We can easily arrange to take a photo of your jump using the camera mounted on the plane. That'll all be arranged on the morning of your training.
See you at Headcorn,
Tony

Hey Tony,

Ah thats annoying, could you enlighten me as to the reason why one needs a 'C' license?

Could i have the camera somewhere else on my body? Or is the 'C' license needed to jump with a camera full stop?

camra

Post by Cai on Tue Mar 11, 2008 6:38 pm

Hey Tom,

Im not nearly as experienced as Tony, but im sure that C lisence is needed for camras full stop. For us as students its just another thing that lines could get caught on and at this early stage, we just would not want the hastle of trying to untangle lines from camras or even having to cut away.

However, Headcorn does do excellent pictures of your fall away from the plane, and then you can always arrange for someone to take pictures of you once you're under canopy from the ground.

hope, you enjoy it anyway, it really is the best buzz one can get Laughing
